STRANGE BUT TRUE.

IT MAKES YOU WONDER ABOUT LIFE.

 

strange has this may seem, it really happened even though i don't expect anyone reading this to believe it.

 

a very friend called john walked into the local jack brown betting office one Saturday morning and said he had a dream the night before that

 

trap 1 won the first race at hackney

 

trap 5 won the second race at hackney

 

and traps 1 and 3 were neck and neck has the line came up in the 3rd race but he woke up and couldn't remember who won it.

 

NOW FOR THE STRANGE PART

being a younger builder with a few quid in my pocket i put a bet on

the dogs he had dreamt about, i did

 

trap 1,1st race,trap 5 2nd race, and trap 1 3rd race, 1 patent

 

and another bet on trap 1 1st race, trap 5 2nd race, and trap 3 3rd race 1 patent

 

i also did a 1 dual f/c trap 1 and 3 in the 3rd race 1

 

the result was trap 1 won the 1st @ 6/1, trap 5 won the 2nd at 4/1 and there was a photo in the 3rd race

between trap 1 10/1 and trap 3 6/1, trap 1 finally winning it and the dual f/c paying 127

 

john died a week later from a heart attack but as long as i live i will always believe he had seen the future.

he didn't bet any of the dogs himself and i picked up nearly 1000 on his dream which was a lot of money in 1978 to this day i put flowers on his grave every year.

strange indeed but true
