Harriet Graham
HARRIET GRAHAM trains from stables at her home at Brundeanlaws in the
Border Hills Just a couple of miles into Scotland off the A68 South of Jedburgh
Harriet has been training horses from here since 1999, making use of the
thousands of acres of surrounding hill land to get her horses fit. Harriet's skill
of getting the best out of moderate horses has earned her a reputation for doing
a lot with a little. Harriet's approach has also helped her to revitalise older ‘stale
horses that have got fed up with the routine of some big training yards. Harriet's
approach with young horses in her care again differs from the crowd as she likes
to make sure that they have time to grow naturally and adapt to their increased
training. This approach Harriet feels lessens the chance of injury to them due to
overstressing of young bones and tendons before their bodies have adapted
naturally to the increased exercise.

Harriet's caring loving dedication to her horses also applies to her husband (assistant Trainer)ROB GRAHAM, staff and owners and of course we must not forget HOLLY the (Unofficial Assistant Trainer) their trusted dog. Harriet knows well that looking after the horses is only half of the job as a Trainer, the Owners are just as important! and where possible, horses are raced locally and on days thatOwners can attend as they are encouraged to  have as much involved in everything as they can so they fully get a chance to experience the true fun that racing can be for the whole family. Its not just about the horses winning but about the thrill of seeing your horse run and the buzz in the ring as an owner. Nothing is too much trouble and Owners are encouraged to watch their horses gallop and being schooled. Harriet still has a few horses available for whole or part lease. This  provide a great way to become an owner without the initial heavy capital outlay. Harriet also follow all the racing industry best practicesand standards and use Trainer/Owner contracts as drawn up by the National Trainers Federation and Racehorse Owners Association. To sum  up If your looking to get involved with ownership Harriet really does offer  a great way to do that and make you feel closer to the action.
